"Maria I'm Drunk" is a song by Travis Scott featuring Justin Bieber and Young Thug. The original song without Justin was leaked on June 4, 2015 but the album, which features Justin's collaboration, was officially released on September 4, 2015.
Background[]
“Maria I’m Drunk” revolves around hazy/blurred nights in the life three super-stars. On Part 1, “Maria,” Travis personifies weed as a girl, whereas Part 2, “Drunk,” focuses on the love all three artists share for women and booze.
The second part of the song originally premiered on the Rodeo Tour, which led to feverish anticipation for its release. A few months after this debut, the song leaked under the title “Drunk.” The leaked version only featured Travis and Young Thug, without the “Maria” intro, which led to much surprise when Justin Bieber’s name appeared on Rodeo’s final tracklist, whose verse replaced the latter half of Travis’s from the leaked version.
It was Bieber, though, who personally reached out to Scott about working together. The singer, vacationing in Hawaii at the time, FaceTimed the rapper to let him know he was itching to collaborate. Scott says he instantly knew "Maria I'm Drunk," a slurry cut he recorded while on tour earlier this year with Atlanta MC Young Thug, was the perfect track for Bieber to jump on. With the track having previously leaked, Scott says he felt adding Bieber into the mix and re-releasing it on Rodeo would give the cut a much-needed refresh. Scott sent Bieber the track, and "he called me the next day like 'Yo, come up to the studio,'" the rapper recalls.[1]

On September 7, 2018, Scott spoke about the song's lengthy four-year delay, he said on Twitter "Maria I’m drunk can finally be stream. It's been a legit 4 years don't ask me what took so long !!! I’m just happy I can listen to it."[2] It was made available for online streaming for the first time as it was originally made accessible to "only those who paid to download the MP3s."
